The Emergency Response Corps (ERC), a program of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England, has funding available to provide AmeriCorps volunteers to host sites throughout northern New England and New York. Applications are currently being accepted from organizations that desire to be a host site beginning on or about October 10, 2009.

The Emergency Response Corps (ERC) is an AmeriCorps program that supports twenty AmeriCorps members at host sites throughout northern New England and New York. AmeriCorps members work in fire departments and ambulance services to help recruit and retain volunteers to assist in emergency response. Members develop and expand the community outreach programs offered by emergency response agencies, such as safety awareness and fire prevention education. ERC AmeriCorps members also provide additional assistance by serving as firefighters and/or EMT’s.
