Augusta, MAINE (January 15, 2010)- Northeast Bank announces the hiring of Mike Bechard as a new Mortgage Loan Officer at its Augusta location.
Northeast Bank announced earlier this month that it has created 10 new positions to handle the increase in demand for mortgages, due in part to the expansion and extension of the Home Buyer Tax Credit program signed into effect recently for people buying homes from December 31, 2009 to June of 2010.
As part of the bank’s expansion, Bechard will serve customers in the Augusta area in getting residential mortgages.

Bechard, who resides in Pittston, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Husson College and is a member of the Planning Board for the town of Pittston. He is also a member of the Gardiner Cal Ripken Board.
