PORTLAND, ME, February 3, 2010 — The Peekaboo Children’s Center, a locally owned indoor playspace for children aged 0 to 5, is opening its doors in the historic Dana Warp Mill in Westbrook on February 6, 2010.
The Center’s vision is to provide a unique play experience for young children in the Greater Portland area. The 5,000-square-foot space combines activity areas and installations – appropriate for young ones – with rotating toys and playsets, all of which encourage a child’s exploration and play.
The activity areas include a CedarWorks indoor wooden playground; tractor play loft; doll nursery; music room; reading nook; areas for putting together large-scale construction pieces; nature corner; ball pit; Bounce-A-Round jumper; soft-shapes playground for infants; child-size doll house; play kitchen area; spacious arts and science exploration area; handmade train tables; pirate ship; and many toys to stir a child’s imagination.
The well-lit, clean and safe environment fills the need for an indoor playspace specifically designed for visitors aged 5 and younger. The Center has a large selection of play areas, toys and activities, available to families with a paid admission of $4 per person.
The Peekaboo Children’s Center is excited to bring to the Greater Portland area this fresh approach to play. It is a place where children can dream and explore; discover and experiment; evolve and create; and – most importantly – have an enjoyable experience with their families.
