PORTLAND, Maine (August 19, 2010) —Sean O’Hare, CPA of O’Hare Associates CPAs has been named president of the Maine Society of CPA’s (MSCPA) for a 2 year term. Sean is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Maine and Massachusetts and has been a member of the MSCPA since 1996 where he has served in a variety of roles including treasurer and president elect.
As a Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and working toward becoming a Certified College Planning Specialist, Sean has helped many Portland-area organizations and individuals solve financial challenges and meet business goals for more than 16 years. O’Hare Associates provides accounting, business advisory, tax, and financial planning services to its clients.
He earned his Associates in Business Administration from Schenectady County Community College, his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The College of Saint Rose, and his Master of Science in Taxation from Thomas College. His work in the community includes Past – Treasurer for the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer for the SMCC Foundation Board of Directors and active in other civic groups.
Sean maintains his membership with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), and National Society of Accountants (NSA).
