VisitMaine.com earns two Communicator Awards

Interactive Excellence Gold Award

Interactive Excellence Award

Portland Webworks and the Maine Office of Tourism have once again been honored for their work in the ongoing development of VisitMaine.com. This time it is the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) who have recognized the site, awarding two Communicator Awards of Excellence, in the categories of Travel/Tourism and Visual Appeal.

Each year the IAVA receives thousands of entries from across the US and around the world, making the Communicator Awards the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. The awards span all major communication categories, seeking the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.

The two Communicator Awards from the IAVA mark the second time that VisitMaine.com has been honored this year, having received a Stevie Award from the American Business Awards in July. This serves as further recognition of the Office of Tourism’s commitment to maintain an industry leading web presence.
