Portland, MAINE (September 20, 2010) —Sea Bags, a leader in sustainable practices, launches its fourth annual Cure Campaign with their custom Pink Ribbon bags, all made from recycled sails, presently only available from October 1 to December 31, 2010 to raise money for the Maine Cancer Foundation.
To do its part and honor Breast Cancer Awareness month (in October) Sea Bags will donate 50 percent of the proceeds from the sales of a limited number of its small, medium and large Pink Ribbon bags, all handcrafted in Maine from recycled sails, to the Maine Cancer Foundation.
“We are proud to have raised over $48,000 in funds over the past three years from this campaign for Maine Cancer Foundation. We’ve attracted buyers from across the globe to help the cause,” said Sea Bags Co-Owner and President Beth Shissler. “With both of our families touched by cancer, my business partner, Hannah and I wanted to do something to make a difference.”
