Midcoast Maine Continues to Inspire Generations of Artists for 35 Years

Renowned and Emerging Artists come together for the 35th Annual HarborArts Show
in Camden on July 16th & 17th

Camden, MAINE (May 12, 2011) —In the Camden area, drawing from the rugged coastline and surrounding mountain views, creativity permeates everything. A region that inspired three generations of Wyeth’s is home to one of the most popular and eclectic arts and craft shows in New England – HarborArts.

Back for its 35th year, the Carol Sebold Summer HarborArts Juried Show, nestled beside Penobscot Bay on July 16th & 17th, will bring together a mix of over 100 established and emerging artists and crafts people.

“HarborArts is a tradition here in the Midcoast region; it’s an event that showcases exceptional work, some of which is being created right before your eyes,” said Dan Bookham, Executive Director of the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an event that is definitely worth a second look for this summer season.”

Featured fine works include watercolor, oil, acrylics, and pastels blended with spectacular photography, sculpture and mixed media and exquisitely designed jewelry, metal and woodcraft, pottery and fine-crafted furniture.

Named for the founder and presented by the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce, this 35th summer show is now a two-day celebration of the arts in and around downtown Camden and its harbor. HarborArts is free and open to the public.
