Players were evaluated in hitting by getting three good swings each off a tee, and running from second base to home plate, and throwing from the outfield grass to a net at home plate. Scores for each were combined for a final total score.

Mercy Hospital and Dunkin’ Donuts partnered with The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, to celebrate the winners of the Hit, Run and Throw Competition. “We are committed to helping children and families stay fit and healthy and are very pleased to have this special opportunity to be present to support boys and girls involved with the Little League organizations in those towns where we have primary care practices,” said Susan Rouillard, Chief Development Officer at Mercy.

Winners of each division received a Portland Sea Dogs jersey and tickets to a Red Sox game.
