PORTLAND, Maine (June 28, 2011) – Becky McKinnell, founder of the fast-growing website and graphic design company iBec Creative, received one of the five Entreverge Awards from PROPEL, a networking and professional development group for young people in greater Portland, recognizing her entrepreneurship and business innovation.
Entreverge is a business recognition and support program that leverages the leadership of greater Portland’s economic community to build supportive relationships. Entreverge acknowledges local businesses that exhibit a scalable vision for the future and a long-term commitment to the people, place and prosperity of Maine.
McKinnell was selected from over 80 nominees. The award includes a package of pro bono consulting services as well as meeting opportunities with members of PROPEL’s Advisory Network, a distinguished group of Maine’s leading business figures.
PROPEL began in 2006 as a collaborative effort between a small group of Portland’s young professionals and Portland Regional Chamber. The mission was to cultivate and foster the interests and careers of young professionals in the Portland area. Over time, an executive board committee was created and PROPEL was born.
