The Maine Center for Creativity is embarking on the last phase of their fundraising efforts for Art All Around®, a project that will turn the Sprague Energy tank farm in South Portland into the world’s largest public art painting later this summer. Three tanks have been completed, and work will commence on a fourth tank this month. Maginnis is just one of a few individuals selected to speak at the convention, which brings community leaders from across the country together to imagine and plan for a creative future through leadership and innovation.
Maginnis has spent the past six years advocating for the support and stimulation of Maine’s creative industries by working collaboratively with business leaders through the Maine Center for Creativity, a 501(c)3 organization she founded. Her professional experience includes working for WGBH, Boston’s public television and radio stations, as well as Development and Membership work for both the Portland Museum of Art and the Children’s Museum of Maine.
Maginnis served on the Board of Directors at the Portland Players in South Portland, the oldest community theater in Maine from 2004-2007. Jean graduated from Boston College cum laude with a degree in Communications and concentration in organizational development.
