Portland, Maine (September 28, 2011) – Mary Noyes of Freeport has been appointed by the Maine Center for Creativity as the organization’s newest board member to assist in long-range planning for the organization, fiscal management with funders and donors, and general program plans.
Noyes currently serves on several boards in Maine and Colorado including Coastal Studies for Girls, Portland Ovations, True North, and Steadman Phillippon Research Institute. Noyes has 22 years of experience in sales and marketing and was part owner of Aircast Inc., a healthcare equipment and supply company providing functional treatment options for medical professionals.
“Mary feels strongly about the mission of MCC which is to blend the power of art with community to inspire and grow Maine’s creative economy,” said Jean Maginnis, Founder and Executive Director of the Maine Center for Creativity. “Mary will serve as an ambassador for MCC and encourage participation from the entire community.”
Noyes is passionate about medical global networking and supporting traveling fellowships. Her love of connecting people and raising awareness in the art community will serve the Maine Center for Creativity well in her new appointment. Noyes graduated from Skidmore College in 1981. She enjoys sports, music, and spending time with her two daughters.
