Gregory C. Fanaras, M.D. Joins Mercy Hospital’s Pulmonary Practice

Portland, Maine (October 14, 2011) – Mercy Health System of Maine recently hired Greg Fanaras, M.D. as a new physician for its Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Department.

Located on the third floor of Mercy Hospital on State Street in downtown Portland, Mercy’s Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Department offers exceptional strength in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary lung disease and sleep disorders. Their specialist services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help care for critically ill patients.

Dr. Fanaras is a board certified physician in pulmonary care, internal medicine, critical care, and sleep disorder medicine. He completed his Pulmonary and critical care fellowships at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA and received his Medical Doctorate from Johns Hopkins University.

    Thanks for letting us know about this. I think it’s wonderful Mercy has a cardiology department now. As someone with Aortic Stenosis, though, will there ever be anyone brought on board at Mercy with experience in that surgery?
