26th Annual Chocolate Lovers’ Fling!
One of the most anticipated events of the season – the Chocolate Lovers’ Fling benefiting Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine – is drawing near. This year’s 26th annual event will be held Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in downtown Portland. Over 20 of the area’s most talented chocolatiers, restauranteurs, and pastry chefs are hard at work developing signature confections for your enjoyment. This delicious benefit raises crucial funds to help Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine (SARSSM) with their mission to end sexual violence through free educational prevention programs and direct services to victims, survivors and all those impacted by the crime of sexual assault.

It is a Chocolate Lovers’ Dream. Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but you can look forward to the ultimate chocolate fix at the Chocolate Lovers’ Fling. Chocolatiers from York and Cumberland counties generously bring hundreds of bite-sized pieces of their prized chocolate creations for your enjoyment and a chance to win top honors in several competitive categories. The winners are determined by a panel of judges made up of local celebrities, community partners, and culinary experts. In addition, attendees are all invited to vote on the coveted People’s Choice award. Don’t miss the raffle featuring deluxe gift baskets with prize bundles including fun family activities, indulgent beauty experiences, activities and dining in York county, treats and care for pets, and yes, more chocolate.
There is still time to participate as a chocolatier! If you are interested in battling for the glory or showing the area’s chocolate lovers just how delicious your treats are, and you make your own chocolate desserts here in Maine, please contact us at 207-828-1035. We are also accepting donations for raffle items.
