Saco & Biddeford Savings recognizes six new certified tellers
Saco, MAINE (July 13, 2012) –Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (SBSI), Maine’s oldest bank, has six new certified tellers in its ranks: Amber Daniels of Westbrook, Jane Van Dam of Scarborough, Linda Chretien of Arundel, Nicole Wisnewski of Saco, Rhonda Johns of South Portland, and Wendy Daigle of Saco. All are recent graduates of the certified teller program offered through the Northern New England Center for Financial Training (NNECFT).
In order to become a certified teller, candidates were required to undertake rigorous coursework, pass a two-hundred question test, and submit a letter of recommendation. SBSI now has 16 tellers who have been certified through NNECFT.
“As Maine’s oldest bank, tellers are the face of our bank and a vital connection to the community. We are fortunate to have a team of people so eager to learn. This allows the bank to continue to grow and flourish,” said Kevin Savage, president and CEO.
SBSI has branches in Biddeford, Old Orchard Beach, Scarborough, South Portland, and Westbrook, and headquarters in downtown Saco. There are certified tellers working at each location.
