Standard Issue presents classic jazz Sunday July 15 at the Scarborough Bull Moose

SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bull Moose will host Maine-based jazz band Standard Issue, in the store’s Scarborough location, 456 Payne Rd., on Sunday, July 15 at 11 a.m. The band is celebrating the July 10 release of Classic Jazz from the Great American Songbook, which was recorded live earlier this summer at Gingko Blue in Portland. The in-store performance is free and open to the public.

One dollar from the purchase of every CD will go to the South Portland Music Boosters, a not-for-profit that promotes music programs in grades 4-12 in the South Portland public schools. Bull Moose has offered to match the donation for any purchases made at Bull Moose. The CD will retail for $6.97 at Bull Moose.

The tracks on the CD are: 1) They Didn’t Believe Me (Herbert Reynolds – Jerome Kern) 2) After You’ve Gone (Henry Creamer and Turner Layton) 3) Besame Mucho (Consuelo Velazquez) 4) All Alone (Irving Berlin) 5) I’m Always Chasing Rainbows (Joseph McCarthy – Harry Carroll) 6) Indian Summer (Al Dubin – Victor Herbert) 7) DeKalb Blues (Lead Belly) 8) Cry Me a River (Arthur Hamilton).

Standard Issue is Colleen Clark vocals, Emmett Harrity on piano, Nick Merriam acoustic bass and Rob Schreiber, drums.
