Goodwill Industries Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007Portland-CARF announced that Goodwill Industries of Northern New England has been accredited for a period of three years. The latest accreditation is the eleventh consecutive Three-Year Accreditation outcome that the international accrediting commission has awarded to Goodwill Industries of Northern New England.
This is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Goodwill’s substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. According to the CARF Survey Report, “…the leadership and staff members of Goodwill Industries are dedicated, committed, and enthusiastic, in providing care and assistance to the persons served.”
Goodwill was recognized by CARF for many of its strengths. They cited 28 in this year’s report, 2 of which were exemplary. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation outcome has put itself through rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
