The Franco Center in Lewiston, ME, is pleased to announce the hiring of Todd M. Richard to their staff. Todd will be serving as Marketing Manager and Box Office Coordinator for the 10-year-old arts and culture non-profit organization. He will be supervising the creation and proliferation of new media portals and content, as well as energizing publicity and media relations.

Todd Richard is a marketing and communication professional, residing in Maine for 11 years. In this time, he has operated his own marketing firm, Rocket Resources, as well as served on several boards and committees supporting the arts & entertainment, including: Maine Jazz Festival, Maine Academy of Modern Music, Portland Music Foundation, Portland Arts and Cultural Association Marketing Committee, and others.

Prior to joining the Franco Center, Todd worked as a publicist and media consultant to the late and legendary Gene McDaniels, musical artist and songwriter (“Feel Like Making Love,” “Compared to What”.) Additionally, Todd is an active musician and producer, well known for his drumming work with local heroes the Don Campbell Band, as well as his work as DJ and Producer Todd the Rocket.

About Bhagavan Das

Teacher, performer, counter-cultural icon, lover of God: Bhagavan Das is as rich and manifold as Existence itself.

Bhagavan Das is one of the last living cultural icon of the 60′s. As Ram Das’s mentor (author of Be Here Now) he ushered in the New Age Spiritual Movement being the first Kirtan Artist in America. His groundbreaking album “Ah” (1971) produced by Jimmi Hendrix’s manager Michael Jeffrey’s was the first World Music album from Electric Ladyland. Bhagavan Das has also toured with Allen Ginsberg, opened for the Grateful Dead and sang with Bob Dylan.

Living as a sadhu in India for six years Bhagavan Das studied the ancient science of Nada Yoga under the guidance and direction of his Guru Neem Karoli Baba. Nada Yoga is the path of devotion to the inner sound current as a means to God Realization. Alan Watt’s himself saying in a Rolling Stone review of the Album “Ah” that “Bhagavan Das is truly a Master of Nada Yoga”.

Pleasant St., Dover-Foxcroft, Maine USA – Come and hear the blend voices of Sheldon Wright and Leland Clark which makes the unique sound of the Aroostook River Valley Boys.

Sheldon Wright is a song writer, and has written and produced a Christmas Cd. Sheldon has played the guitar for 40 years. Sheldon is original from Limestone Me been a singer his whole life, he made the rounds in Nashville as a song writer in 1989 &1990.. Sheldon has performed all over Maine, Deer Isle, Old Orchard beach jut to name a few. Sheldon has performed with the Doo Dah Band and many other musicians recently performing with Aroostook River Valley Boys.
Leland Clark, Mandolin Guitar and Bass started as a teenager, 4 to 5 years playing with the Aroostook River Valley Boys, performed gospel music with family member Freddy Clark, who is now performing Gospel music in Virginia Leland now performs mostly in northern Maine, Leland a member of the Clark family performing Gospel music, in Canada, Maine, Texas, Alabama, Florida Gospel music, Canada Maine, Texas, Florida Alabama, Leland plays bluegrass in a southern gospel style.

Pleasant St., Dover-Foxcroft, Maine USA – A guitar-player’s guitar player, Mark Miller knows how to fill a room with heart and soul, no matter what its size – - from small hip clubs to festivals such as the North Atlantic Blues Festival.
Mark is legendary, in that any true legend is really based on fact, and passed from person to person by word of mouth – over the years. Mark has made his name as the best of blues guitarists in the state of Maine through persistent travel, dedication to his craft, and his love of the Northeast.

Born in the northern Maine town of Houlton and raised in East Millinocket, Maine, Mark has been playing guitar since he was six years old, and for more than 45 years Mark Miller made his living by playing guitar. In the early days, he played with his brothers on the porch. In high school he had a band playing top 40. Later he played with a number of prominent bands as a “hired gun,” did studio work for numerous CDs, then he came back to Maine where he has reigned over the music scene ever since.

In 1994 Lauralyn Buie began teaching piano from her home to a neighbors child and Buie School of Music was started. With unique vocal sound and musical talents will a great sounding concert!

The show will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 21st and the ticket price is just $10 for this live performance.
